New: Effective January 1, 2024, you can cover your eligible dependents until the age of 26, regardless of their student status. This aligns with medical coverage, which also covers dependents up to age 26.

My dependent child was removed, but they are under age 26. Can I add them back?
Yes, you can add your dependent back. The full-time student requirement has been removed.

Free dental exams and cleanings

Oral health is about so much more than healthy teeth and gums. Good oral hygiene and regular dentist visits can help avoid serious risk to the body’s overall health. Take advantage of two free in-network dental exams per year when you enroll in a MetLife dental plan. Services offered at no out-of-pocket cost to you and your enrolled dependents include:

  • Fluoride treatments once a year for dependent children under age 19
  • Full-mouth X-rays once every three years
  • Routine oral examinations, cleanings and scalings twice each year
  • Routine bitewing X-rays once a year
